Established in 1984, S.&T. Group is a family-owned business that has been providing quality solutions to customers by specializing in electrical, data & technologies, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, civil & carpentry, and general contracting.

Our History
Andrew Sarlo and Dennis Tatasciore established S.&T. Electrical Contractors Ltd. in 1984, providing electrical and technological solutions to customers in the Algoma District. As two licensed electricians driven with a passion to succeed, Sarlo and Tatasciore (S.&T.) capitalized on gaps in the market and expanded their services and workforce to include mechanical, refrigeration, and general contracting divisions to their company.
In 1996, S.& T. Electrical added a technologies department to their business where they specialized in structured cabling, data technologies, and security alarm systems. This expanded S.&T.’s customer base to larger customers including IBM, Royal Bank of Canada, and Bell Canada.
Being a border-town, Sarlo and Tatasciore were not only limited to Sault Ontario. The market demand was growing in Northern Michigan and they capitalized on the opportunity to expand and establish their USA Operations. They joined forces with an electrical foreman in Sault Michigan and began S.&T. Electrical International in 1998. Their USA Operations provided electrical contracting solutions to commercial and institutional customers across Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
In 2003, S.&T. Electrical Contractors Ltd. acquired a local mechanical company. This added plumbing, sheet metal and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) departments to their workforce. Soon after, S.&T. Electrical Contractors Ltd. changed their name to S.&T. Group to encompass the multi-trade they were now servicing.
Expansion continued as demand in Northern Ontario grew. S.&T. Group added a civil and carpentry department, which allowed S.&T. to provide full-service, general contracting work in Northern Ontario.
It is evident that over the past 40 years, the S.&T. Group continues to be a leading multi-trade company in Northern Ontario and have recently expanded to Southern Ontario. Since our inception, S.&T. Group has taken pride in providing high-quality products and services to our customers.
